Sheet vinyl is an inexpensive, multi-layer durable flooring made of PVC with a backing layer made of fibreglass, felt, foam, or another vinyl layer.
With a fibreglass backing, the sheet vinyl will lay flat on the floor and not curl up at the edges. It can also be installed via a less time-consuming loose lay method, with permanent or releasable adhesive.
For commercial areas with high foot traffic, we recommend homogeneous sheet vinyl i.e. vinyl flooring with vinyl backing. This adds to the performance and durability of the flooring. In this case, glue down installation is recommended.
Sheet vinyl is low maintenance and can be cleaned easily by sweeping or vacuuming any dust or debris. Spills and stains must be removed immediately with a damp mop to prevent discolouration.
Sheet vinyl can be installed at any level of your establishment, including the basement. It is not, however, recommended to install sheet vinyl outdoors or on stairs.
